Health Professionals Exchange is a Rhode Island based
forum created to promote awareness and exchange information
on health and medicine. The main focus will be based on
but not limited to Oriental Medicine. We welcome and encourgae
the networking and sharing of all therapies from all medical
practitioners, therapists and healers with an intention
of improving communication between multiple disciplines
and promoting health and wellbeing in our community. Please

by the Foundation Research for Acupuncture and Oriental

Course Description: This course will provide case
study reviews based on Oriental medical theory such as
acupuncture, Chinese Herbology and Asian bodywork therapy
and western sciences for the purposes of sharing knowledge
and promoting awareness in the aforementioned fields.
As a moderator I will run this review several times per
year and assemble health professionals associated with
the before mentioned fields of expertise including myself
to offer presentations based on experience and education.
Goals & Objectives:
- Present case studies to generate
awareness of the efficacy of diagnostic and treatment
principles based on clinical experience.
- Present and share practice management
techniques
- To provide a forum to generate
awareness and share knowledge based on experience across
various fields of study in the aforementioned course
description.
- To promote better referrals
by promoting awareness of the expertise of health professionals
in the community so as to improve practitioner services
and patient care.

Requirements (for observers and participants):
- Case study or presentation topics can be based on
anything that will benefit the medical practice (i.e.
patient treatment (success cases or difficult cases
needing advice), practice management, and so on)
- Case study time limit - 15 minutes + 15 minutes for
Q&A
- Presentation time limite - 30 minutes total (Q&A
optional)
- Observers and participants must be present for the
full course (3.5 hours)
- Participants are required to outline their case study
or presentation on paper and have at least 12 copies
available as handouts
- A case study must be based on Oriental Medicine and
given by an Oriental Medical practitioner (i.e. Acupuncturist,
Chinese Herbalist, Asian Bodyworks Therapist and so
on)
- a presentation will be open to healing practitioners
from outside the Oriental medical field (i.e. MD's,
Chiropractors, Massage Therapists, Reiki practitioners,
anyone involved in healing and health care)
- A copy of the case study or presentation must be submitted
to the moderator 1 week before the course date
